To Spend Renown Points in WAR
Author:admin Date:05/05/2009 Source:-
If you learned how to earn your Renown Points, you've started gathering them up. Here we'll tell you to use points to buy tactics to help your RvR play.
You're rewarded for your combat as soon as you participate in the Realm vs. Realm. You'll get one Renown Point for Renown Rank that you reach. As you gain your victory points and move up the scale on the Renown Rank, these points can be used to get special rewards from your career trainer. These rewards help with improving your RvR or PvE abilities. You can use your Renown Rewards to purchase RvR Tactics, Stat Bonuses and Renown Items.
Buying RvR tactics is one of the main areas that you can buy new skills and abilities for your RvR play. Each different career will offer you different RvR tactics, which are made to help you customize your character and your game play. These Renown Tactics have their own unique slots in your interface that are in addition to the career slots that you already have available to you.
These Renown Tactics are two separate slots that appear on your tactics bar. Even though you can have more than two Renown Tactics, you can only use two at a time. Some Renown Tactics only take up one slot, while others take up both slots. You want to choose RvR tactics that will help you against your particular enemy, such as in the case of Greenskins, there are tactics that will help you in beating down this foe quickly.
Bane of Kings only takes up one of your two slots and will give you a 5% boost in damage when you are fighting Realm lords or kings.
Stuntie Stompa only takes up one of your two slots and will give you a 2% boost in damage when you are fighting in Dwarf RvR scenarios and areas.
Malekith's Vengeance takes up both of your two slots but lightly heals you each time you kill a High Elf.
Emperor's Champion takes up both of your two slots and gives you a 5% boost in morale when you are grouped with an Empire player.
It is for sure that these are only some of the different Renown Tactics to show you that some take both slots and others only take one. So, you want to make sure to check how many slots each tactic you want takes up and determine if it's worth it or not. Other Renown Tactics will help boost defense, stats and defenses for players and the perks that they bring with them help both in RvR and in PvE settings, making some of the two slot tactics worth it.
But, each Renown Tactic will cost you Renown Points. As you purchase different Tactics they will cost your Renown Points, which you use just like money. As you level your Renown rank and gain more Renown points, the tactics that you can purchase will raise both in the bonus that it gives you and the price.
If you aren't fond of buying RvR tactics with your points, players can buy stat bonus packages that will increase your stats. These stat bouns packs will help in both RvR and PvE and all of the packages have multiple levels so that the higher ranks that you are, the better package that you can purchase, meaning that the more Renown Points you will have to spend as well. But, as you spend more Renown Points on that specific package, you'll gain more as well. You can buy stat bonus packages that will increase a combination of just about every stat you have, so you'll find different stats will benefit you the most, which depend on your career. The higher rank you are, the better your Renown Points will be.
You can buy special items from different war camp. The catch is that you've to have reached a specific Renown Rank to do so. While you can start buying items as you reach the minimum Renown Rank. The higher your Renown Rank is, the better the items are that you can purchase. You've to have your player rank and your Renown Rank really close so that you can use the items you buy.
The items you can buy with Renown Points get really awesome; add stats and great hit rates once you hit rank 30. You join in capturing cities, you can buy full armor sets, which you can't find or buy anywhere in the game after you hit rank 40. It helps to keep your Renown rank and your player rank as high, close as possible so that you can get the best Renown Gear in the game. The higher your Renown rank, the better items you can buy.
You'll find that you'll get some armor and other items that are sweet when you hit level 40. And also you'll have the opportunity to get some special armor sets if you participate in capturing enemy cities. So, that is why you should keep your level and your Renown Rank as close as possible until you are level 40.
