New Title Track and Map in Guild Wars: Eye of the North
Author:admin Date:13/04/2009 Source:-

Guild Wars Eye of the North is the first true expansion to the original three campaigns - Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall. One of the biggest additions found in the expansion is the introduction of two new NPC races - the Asura and the Norn.

Both new races will be playable in the forthcoming Guild Wars 2, but in the expansion they are available only as Heroes and NPCs. The Norn is giant warriors that hail from the Far Shiverpeaks. Similar to druid classes, they have the ability to transform in to a bear during battle.

The Asura are short, magical beings who normally dwell underground. They have been driven out by the emergence of the Destroyers, and it's this new menace which forms the core storyline for Eye of the North.

On the Guild Wars Eye of the North map you'll see numerous Resurrection Shrines market by a small icon. When everyone in your party has died, they will be resurrected at the nearest shrine. Check your Guild Wars map, and you'll find an Asura or Norn NPC near each shrine.

Talking to each of these NPCs will give you a blessing, giving you one Reputation Point for each creature you kill in that area. This was a mechanism first introduced in Guild Wars: Nightfall. It encourages players to explore the map more as well as giving a helpful boost along each of the relevant Title Tracks.

In Eye of the North these NPCs will now also give a random bonus. For example, an increase in the number of Reputation Points per kill, or a random award of Reputation Points for defeating a certain number of creatures.

The Asura and the Norn each have a relevant Title Track. You will need to advance on these to gain access to Asura and Norn NPCs in Eye of the North, unlocking access to better armor and upgraded weapons.

The fun thing about climbing the ranks of the Norn Title Track is that for every new NPC that you talk to, they will challenge you to one battle before offering you there services. Partying up for these battles isn't a bad idea.

Paying close attention to the Guild Wars map in Eye of the North means you can gain the most benefit from these Reputation Point bonuses. Once your Title Track has reached Rank 7, you can display it in your Hall of Monuments in the Eye of the North citadel.
